Providing therapy for Evanston adults, children and adolescents

“I have a profound respect for the way our minds work so diligently to protect us and interpret the world around us. Therapy is a unique relationship—I work hard in building trust so my clients can feel comfortable sharing their challenges. With authenticity and curiosity, I often use humor and acknowledge that starting therapy can sometimes feel awkward. I see therapy and the therapeutic process as a collaborative journey which involves the honor and privilege of assisting clients to unlock the meaning behind their experiences; I am skilled in taking that journey alongside you.
“I draw from both humanistic/existential and relational theories as a way to help individuals discover their meaning-making systems and facilitate the development of insight. You can expect every session to have a foundation of respect, trust, and compassion. All of us have different life experiences and in therapy I hope to help each person find what makes them whole. I also have a deep understanding of the biology of the stress response and how it influences one’s ability to understand the world. I offer genuine validation, challenge, concern, and empathy because I know in order to heal that connection is vital. We will collaboratively discuss your goals and create strategies so you start feeling more ease in your life.”
