Providing therapy for Evanston adults and adolescents.

“I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, and find the relational aspect of therapy to be an integral piece in making strides towards meeting client’s needs and goals. Confronting the difficulties and pain in life is often challenging and uncomfortable—as such I strive to create a safe space for my clients to process authentically. I know each client is unique and work to meet the client where they are, with empathy, humor, support, challenge, and encouragement throughout our journey together.
“In creating a safe and supportive space, I utilize interventions from a variety of therapeutic frameworks in order to meet the needs of my clients individually. I pull mainly from multicultural and feminist/relational theories, and often utilize dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness skills to help clients process and understand themselves on a deeper, more fulfilling level.
“As a queer-identified woman I can uniquely understand the complexities of questioning one’s sexual identity. As such, helping clients navigate the process of acceptance, owning, and loving oneself, through compassion, care and support in sessions are integral to exploring this aspect of identity.”
